On February 20^th -23^rd, 2020, NGO “Poruch” executive director Mariia Tyschchenko and expert Nadiia Hovorun Oleksandr Potii participated in the conference “The Role of Global Cooperation in Building the Future We Want”, an international event organised to commemorate the UN 75th Anniversary and to discuss the role of global cooperation in building the future. This event connected unique regional networks of practitioners, policy-makers, civil society organisations, media and international donors.

The programme was very intensive and included high level discussions, workshops, trainings, study visits and project proposals.

Mariia Tyschchenko and Nadiia Hovorun took active part in the panel discussion sessions held in the round table format on the following topics: digital society, intercultural dialogue, youth unemployment, advocacy, innovation and successful cooperation between state and NGOs. Potii Oleksandr took part in the workshop about cyber security and migration. They learnt positive experience of other countries and introduced successful Ukrainian cases related to the issues. Working groups included representatives of many different backgrounds who shared their skills and knowledge and cooperated in finding common goals and policy approaches.

The conference was a really great event which not only helped NGO “Poruch” establish more efficient international networks but also made us feel that we have common goals and support from a lot of people all over the world. Maybe, the work we do for the welfare of the humanity is a drop, but we believe this drop can fill in the ocean of the sustainable future.
